8 am - 3 pm
This is a day when our school community comes together, adults and students alike, to beautify the campus: hanging hooks, painting, pulling weeds, pruning plants, raking leaves, power-washing walkways, deep cleaning picnic tables and door knobs and drinking fountains, spreading mulch in planter beds, and dropping some new plants into the ground. Needless to say, we need a lot of volunteers to help! We are always so proud at how much we accomplish is such a small time period for our school!
TWO Exciting Art/Garden Projects planned, Perfect for the kids...
1. We are excited to creating an art/garden area using recycled tires that will be painted and used as planters in the raised bed and area next to the Star Bungalows. This will be an amazingly creative project that will bring some fun and color to the campus!
2.We will also have a rock garden painting station for kids and adults to paint a rock with a positive word or image to be placed in one of the gardens around campus!
BE SURE TO WEAR A HAT, SUNSCREEN AND CLOSE TOE SHOES. ALSO HELPFUL TO BRING YOUR OWN GLOVES AND GARDEN TOOLS IF YOU HAVE THEM (LOPPERS, CLIPPERS, ETC. WRITE YOUR NAME ON THEM) and a big SMILE!
