Academics

From the classroom and the library to the Learning Garden to the Computer Lab, the Castle Heights curriculum is robust and well-rounded, serving one of the most diverse student bodies in the city.

Gifted & Talented | SAS

Gifted and Talented students need differentiated educational programs and services beyond those normally provided by the regular school program in order to realize their ability to contribute to self and society.

Star Education

Castle Heights is proud to work with STAR Education to provide enrichment, after school, preschool and camp programming for our students. The STAR Little Dipper Program is a fee-based preschool program for 4-year olds who want to extend their school day through innovative, fun and educational enrichment programming. It is held during the school year, Monday through Friday from 8:20 am to 2:15 pm.

From Art Classes to Physical Education, Friends of Castle Heights provides these enrichment opportunities to students through fundraising and events.

Spanish World Language Immersion Program

The vision for the World Language Program at Castle Heights is to help students develop to their fullest potential as they become bilingual and biliterate to meet the demands of the global workforce. Students receive rigorous academic instruction in both English and Spanish to reach academic proficiency, while gaining an appreciation for the diverse cultures of the Spanish-speaking world in a nurturing and supportive learning environment.

Astro Camp

One of the highlights of 5th grade at Castle Heights is the annual trip to Astro Camp! Located in Idyllwild, AstroCamp provides students the opportunity for individual exploration and discovery in a camp setting where they learn practical life skills, learn to get along with others in a group living situation and forge stronger friendships.
